The Southland Ecumenical Rural Chaplaincy Charitable Trust was established in 2024 to provide chaplaincy services to farming and rural communities.
The volunteer chaplains include farmers or retired farmers, women and men, who will in their own time, provide chaplaincy support within their communities.
All applicants for this new ministry are supported by their respective churches, have been police-checked and have undergone appropriate training before being commissioned as volunteer rural chaplains.

One of the many training days to prepare and equip volunteer rural chaplains for their ministry.
